FARCO

Robat Ferroalloy Complex

Robat Ferroalloy Complex with the brand name FARCO is one of the fifty national projects of the country and one of the knowledge-based companies that has the badge of seven years exporter of the provincial sample, one year of the best entrepreneur of the country, four years of the best entrepreneur of the province, six years of the industrial sample unit and also selected as a supporter for three years Consumer rights.

Robat Ferroalloy has three electric arc furnaces for silico-manganese production, for the first time in Iran, the electrical system of the furnaces has been changed from AC to DC, which has increased the efficiency and quality of production by 30%, as well as reducing electricity consumption by 30%.

All stages of design, construction, installation and operation of Robat Ferroalloy Complex have been done by Kerman Fak Machinery Company (belongs to the shareholders of this complex).

The first phase of the Robat ferroalloy complex was put into operation in 2010 with an annual production capacity of 1200 tons of ferro-molybdenum, and all the ferro-molybdenum products of this complex are exported abroad. Robat ferroalloy was put into operation in 2016 in the field of silico-manganese and ferromanganese production with a production capacity of 36 thousand tons of products per year. Also, the third phase of this complex in the field of ferrochrome production is about to be launched.

Ferro Manganese- FeMn

Ferromanganese is a metal alloy of iron and manganese. Usually between 65 and 95% of its composition is manganese. Manganese, like silicon, has the property of deoxygenation and desulfurization. Although the deoxygenation power of manganese is not as high as that of silicon, this element also improves the tensile strength, hardness, hardenability, toughness and workability of steel due to the modification of the iron-carbon system.

Ferro Molybdenum - FoMo

Fermolybdenum is an alloy of iron and molybdenum, which usually has between 55 and 75% molybdenum by weight. The main use of this alloy is to provide molybdenum element in steel and increase its hardness. This alloy is widely used in the production of low-alloy and high-strength steel parts that can withstand heat at high temperatures. Molybdenum is a carbide-forming alloying element. Therefore, ferromolybdenum is considered as one of the hardening ferroalloys of heat-treatable alloy steels. It should be noted that molybdenum element prevents the corrosion of stainless steels and when it is mixed with iron, it also strengthens and increases the hardness of the austenite phase.

Ferro Silico Manganese - FeSiMn

Ferrosilico-manganese is a ferroalloy composed of silicon and manganese. Usually, these alloys have between 12 and 16 percent of silicon and 50 to 70 percent of manganese. Due to having both silicon and manganese elements, this ferroalloy has the properties of both ferrosilicon and ferromanganese alloys and it is used as a loading aid for the production of low carbon steels. According to the ferroalloy grade, different compositions can be provided for ferrosilico manganese.

Rhenium

Rhenium is one of the chemical elements of the periodic table. Its short symbol is Re and its atomic number is 75. Rhenium is a white-silver and heavy metal from the group of transition metals. Rhenium looks similar to manganese Mn technetium Tc and is produced through the mining and refining of copper and molybdenum ores. The name of this element, which was discovered in 1925, is derived from the Rhine River in Western Europe.

Manganese Concentrate

Preparation of manganese concentrate usually involves removing water from the manganese solution. Since ferromanganese is one of the urgent needs of the country’s steel factories, currently 30% is imported domestically and the rest is imported from abroad by spending millions of foreign currency, and the main problem of ferromanganese factories is the lack of manganese ore with a grade above 30%. It is possible that it was imported from abroad before the sanctions. Due to the high reserves of low-grade manganese silica rocks in the country, this complex obtained manganese from low-grade rocks with various researches and methods.
